Prince Moulay Abdallah of Morocco was born on July 30, 1935 in Rabat, Morocco. He was the younger brother of King Hassan II and the uncle of the current King Mohammed VI. The prince received a traditional education in Morocco, along with military training in France and the United States.
Prince Moulay Abdallah played a prominent role in Moroccan politics during the 1960s and 1970s, serving as a member of parliament and as the commander-in-chief of the Moroccan Armed Forces during the Western Sahara War.
He was known for his efforts to promote economic development in Morocco and to modernize the country's military. He also served as the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, and was a passionate supporter of the Moroccan national team.
Prince Moulay Abdallah passed away on September 20, 1983 from cancer, and was succeeded by his son Prince Moulay Rachid.
